Studio residency opportunity: Wolverhampton Art Gallery Posted: 04 Feb 2013 09:05 AM PST Wolverhampton Art Gallery11 March – 28 March 2013 Wolverhampton Art Gallery is offering a 3-week practical studio residency opportunity from 11- 28 March 2013, for an artist or artist collective working in any medium. The resident artist(s) will have an introduction to Gallery staff across various departments and will receive curatorial input and support. The outcome of the residency will be self-determined, allowing room for experimentation and/or the development of a new or existing project, event or collaboration. Artists are also invited to consider responses to the Gallery's temporary exhibition programme, past and present. The Gallery also holds substantial collections of contemporary and historical Fine Art (Pop Art, conflict art, Georgian and Victorian), in addition to Decorative Art, Local History and Geology. The artist(s) will be based in the Gallery's Education suite, and will also benefit from proximity to 13 artists' studios located in the Gallery's courtyard. Budget: £750 artist fee Up to £250 for travel and materials Deadline: 5pm, 15 February 2013Residency announced: 25 February 2013
