Art and Design students settle into new studios

Posted: 11 Feb 2013 03:52 AM PST

Current students from BA (Hons) Fashion, BA (Hons) Contemporary Lens Media, and BA (Hons) Product Design (shown above) are the first to move into their new studios as part of phase one of the move onto the Brayford campus for the School of Art and Design.

Fashion and Lens Media were both previously housed at Thomas Parker House in the city centre but are now in specifically designed studios and workshops within the existing Architecture building on the Brayford, whereas Product Design have relocated from their temporary home at the Think Tank onto the mezzanine floor of the Architecture building.

Students are quickly re-adapting to their new space, commenting on how much more light and space they now have.  Below images show the new workshops and studios for BA (Hons) Fashion Studies.

The second phase of the move will see the remaining programmes from the School of Art and Design move into the new building over the summer.
