We have enjoyed posts from Emma Louise Berry and Tara "Scarlett O'Harder" Rawson.  Now Dan gets his blogging started by answering some questions about himself. Who are you – Name, Business Name, Based in…

My name is Dan Lucyszyn-Hinton, and I'm a multimedia designer at The Media Group – we're based in Wilford on the business park.

What brought you to Nottingham?

I moved to Beeston with my parents when I was four.

What keeps you in Nottingham?

My fantastic family and rather excellent job with The Media Group

What makes you different to other creative people in Nottingham? (eg:- What is your business  specialism, what makes you unique as a person)

I stand out because I'm very process-focussed. I tend to take on any new area of interest I can  at work – whether that's learning how to create interactive content, or new techniques for  producing 3D animation. However unlike most specialists I'm not afraid to try new things and  learn better ways to accomplish my goals. I'm also very community-oriented, which means that  instead of hoarding knowledge, I prefer to share it so that the creative industry as a whole benefits.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? (future business & creative plans)

I see myself as head of our digital department. I'd also like to have directed my first short  film!

What do you wish you had more time for?

A social life – between a young family and hectic career, it often seems to be the first thing to  give.

What keeps you awake at night?

Ideas for tomorrow's brief!

What do you think is Nottingham's best kept secret?

Brown Betty's cafe on St James's Street. Best bacon sandwiches in England.

What would you like to see more of in Nottingham?

More independent services and shops. As a teenager in Nottingham I grew up in Rollersnakes, the  Broadmarsh banks and Selectadisc. I'm hoping that we can see more creative businesses thrive by  using technology to get people interested in what they have to say.

What big thing (project or event) are you currently working on?

We've recently had a quite a few cracking pitch wins courtesy of our sales team, but the biggest  is probably The FA Fives for The Football Association – the UK's largest five-a-side football tournament. We handle the design, production and event management for this tournament which  culminates with a final at Wembley Stadium.   You can check out more of our work at www.themediagroup.tv, follow us on Twitter (@tmgtv) and see our  videos on Youtube
