June Question and Answer session

Posted: 05 Jun 2013 02:00 AM PDT

The June Question and Answer session takes place on Tuesday 18 June. This is the recheduled date from Wednesday 19 June which was previously advertised.

The sessions are an opportunity to ask questions about anything: Making applications, commissions, professional development, where to find opportunities, what is Turning Point? What are the priorities for artists in the region?

Art In The Heart

Posted: 04 Jun 2013 04:23 AM PDT

Art in the Heart is a brochure celebrating the exciting and diverse exhibitions taking place across the West Midlands during 2013. As well as being stocked at all 23 participating venues, the brochure can be viewed online here.  A map in the back also gives an overview of the region.

Led by Birmingham Museums Trust, the project is funded by Arts Council England. The project is also supported by Centro and Turning Point West Midlands.

A quarterly Birmingham Art Map has also recently been launched. It aims to help visitors and residents of the city discover, explore and enjoy the huge range of art, ideas and culture made in Birmingham and lists activity on all scales from larger venues to artist-led projects, student shows and one-off performances and events.

The map can be viewed online here and is available across Birmingham. The deadline for listings in the Autumn map, which will run from 1 September to 31 December, is 3 August. A listing costs between £30 and £50 depending on the scale and nature of your endeavour. Please email birminghamartmap[@]gmail.com for details.
