    Tutor - Sally Hutson

    Sally has over 30 years of experience working with textiles and has her own business creating original pieces from vintage and rescued fabrics inspired by days gone by. She exhibits and teaches across the UK. Sally's work can be seen at www.stitchywoowoo.co.uk or on her blog -http://stitchywoowoo.blogspot.com/

    This workshop will offer the opportunity to create a beautiful piece of experimental textiles. You will use mixed media and stitch to create layered and embellished surfaces, making a piece of textile art to take home with you.

    Materials will be provided but we recommend you bring a selection of your own fabrics, lace, papers and threads, etc. Sewing machines are not provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

    Tea and coffee is provided but please bring lunch.

Silk Painting Workshop with Kate Harrison

Silk Painting Workshop inspired by the garden.

Tutor - Kate Harrison.

Kate Harrison is a Northamptonshire based artist, whose current work explores science and nature through mixed media drawing and painting on silk. Kate graduated in Fine Art BA from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2008. www.kateharrisonart.com

This workshop will offer you the opportunity to experiment with materials, be creative and produce your own unique paintings on silk to take home with you. We will be taking inspiration from the garden, for example leaves, trees, flowers, patterns and colours, or wherever your imagination takes you. All ages and abilities welcome!

All materials will be provided. Tea and coffee is provided but please bring lunch.
