Marketing Co-Ordinator Vacancy, Writing West Midlands

Job Terms: Permanent, subject to 3 month trial
Hours: 3 days/week (hours will vary based on 9am – 5.30pm but including some evenings and weekends at busy times- time off in lieu will be given)
Office Base: Birmingham, Uk
Salary: £16 – £18,000 pro rate depending on experience


Writing West Midlands is the literature development agency for the West Midlands and is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation. It supports the writing industry regionally and nationally by offering training and development opportunities for writers, by encouraging children and young people to engage with creative writing and by running public literature events including the Birmingham Book Festival.

The Marketing Co-Ordinator will be responsible for marketing, selling and promoting all of Writing West Midlands' work. While this is a busy and varied role the focus will be on increasing take up of all events and activities.

The role will focus on increasing take up of events and activities including Write On! Writers In Schools Programme and the Birmingham Book Festival, co-ordinating the production and distribution of marketing materials, digital marketing, and collecting and managing audience data.

The successful applicant will have proven marketing skills – as a graduate of a marketing degree or having worked within an arts marketing setting for at least two years.
