Student work admired by Lincoln's Mayor and Sheriff

Posted: 23 Mar 2012 10:00 AM PDT

Photographic work from BA (Hons) Interactive Design students was on public show on Saturday 17 March at the Waterside Shopping centre in Lincoln, as part of the centre's 20th birthday celebrations.

The photographs which were all taken using mobile phones, showed the city in a way not previously seen before by the public, as part of a brief called "The Space Above".

This is a collection of first year work; these students are not studying to be photographers but were asked to look and analize image for the world of new media, hence most of this work was created using the phones a lot of the digital work they create might be viewed on.

The Mayor and Sheriff of Lincoln were guided around the exhibition as part of a bigger showcase of local talent, and were very impressed by the quality of work, and the imagery chosen by our students.

So with a fond farewell, we wave goodbye to Harrison House......and look forward to the start of the construction of the new Art and Design building.
