The Sagas of Noggin the Nog

STANTONBURY CAMPUS THEATRE

The Sagas of  Noggin The Nog

Wednesday 10th April -2.30pm

A company of Viking story tellers recreate the charming world of Oliver Postgate & Peter Firmin.

How young Noggin became King of the Nogs and sailed to The Land of The Midnight Sun to find his bride. And how, in the Tale of the Ice Dragon, a small and fierce looking man wielding a sword tells of his home in the Hotwater Valley and his people who are hiding from a huge and terrifying Dragon.

Accompanied by the brave and mighty Thor Nogson and the great green bird Graculus we go North on a journey of adventure & discovery and battle against the dastardly deeds of Noggin’s wicked uncle.

This is theatre to watch with your children; your aunty, a friend, Grandad and if I've missed anyone out, bring them along too! Funny actors, puppets, projections and live music.

English National Ballet Moving Art Project Performance

Saturday 13 April / 1.30pm (c.20 mins, repeated) / Free

Contemporary dance performance inspired by the work of current exhibitor Andrea Büttner, by students from the English National Ballet's Moving Art Residency.

The five day residency, for up-and-coming dancers aged 16-31 will run from the 9 -13 April 2013. Combining visual art, dance and performance, participants will be put through their paces with daily technique classes led by expert English National Ballet artists, followed by the opportunity to gain a unique insight into Büttner's work before the exhibition opens. Choreographic workshops will allow participants to explore different ways in which dancers can respond to visual art forms. This project builds from English National Ballet's earlier visit to Milton Keynes in October 2012 when English National Ballet took over MK Gallery to create a unique pop-up experience.
