Cuppa Cafe Valentines Open Mic Night

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 01:48 PM PST

Are you 14-19? Whether it's music, film, art or something else you're into, Cuppa Café are providing a stage for like-minded young people to share and enjoy in their regular weekly café and open mic night at Foundation House, Aylesbury Street, Wolverton.

Valentines Open Mic Night, Tuesday 14th February is just one in a series of events planned for the café.

"If you don't want to stay at home on your own, it's not all love or romance on Valentines, just a bit of fun. Our menu includes fresh very affordable meals and snacks both savoury and sweet. We aim to provide a welcoming environment, good food, free internet, great music and a great place to meet for anyone between 14 and 19."

Cuppa Café is managed and run by a group of young people, for young people every Tuesday at Foundation House, Wolverton between 5-8pm. The café has been designed and considered in every detail. The team's artwork decorates the café, it's beautifully lit and a varied playlist make this venue a warm, safe and inviting place to be. As well as music there are plans to show films, display photography and art and hold one-off events that capture young local talent and creativity. In the long-term the teams' aim is to sustain the project by encouraging other young people to join them and get involved.

So, if you 14-19 and want somewhere to meet and relax that is comfortable, welcoming and serves good food at low prices. Or, you have a yet to be unleashed creative talent that is ready for an audience, Cuppa Café is the place for you. To get involved running the café, organising events or showcasing your work, come to Cuppa Café or contact the team.

"The Stony Stratford Riverside Parks Group organises a Riverside Fair every year in June, during Stony Live. The fair is aimed primarily at families with young children and offers a range of FREE rides, Punch and Judy, art activities and music.  It has been a great success and each year we  see more families with young children visiting this area  to join in, picnic and enjoy the open spaces. Its continued success depends on having enough funds to provide for their entertainment"
