It is just confirmed that Scribal Gathering will be running the open mic tent at this year's Waterside festival, Great Linford, on 16th and 17th June, and the World Picnic in Campbell Park on 29th July. All performers welcome. We will also be looking for headline acts to do a twenty minute featured performance every hour on the hour. If you are interested, let us know.

What is Discover MK?    A dedicated space in the Library set up by Milton Keynes Council and heritage partners to showcase a changing programme of photographs, captions and objects with a heritage theme. Considered one of the most important films in the history of silent pictures, as well as possibly Eisenstein's greatest work, Battleship Potemkin brought Eisenstein's theories of cinema art to the world in a powerful showcase.

The film is a dramatised account of a great Russian naval mutiny and a resulting street demonstration which brought on a police massacre.
