| Creative Advertising students get creative at the Ritz Cinema Lincoln Posted: 13 Feb 2012 02:43 AM PST  Off The Bench (OTB), a Lincoln-based voluntary organisation, has set out to bring back the Ritz cinema on Lincoln's High Street to its former glory.Over the last few weeks the OTB team has been meeting with Jaki Fisher, a lecturer with the School of Art at the University of Lincoln. As a former Ritz patron, Jaki's enthusiasm for the project has been instrumental in getting Creative Advertising students involved with the project. The students have been asked by OTB to come up with some visually stunning hoardings to adorn the site once the building work is underway, and they haven't disappointed: each group of students has created 6 photographs and it's apparently proving difficult to narrowing it down. OTB believe all these images deserve to be seen, and so are planning to hold an exhibition of the images. They want to know people's views and let them decide which images should be used. As a little taster, the image at the top was created by Creative Advertising students Harriet Stringer and Jake O'Coy. Meanwhile, you can follow the project @OtbRitzCinema on Twitter.  |
