Pulse Fringe Festival: 30 May – 8 June

Posted: 25 May 2013 12:54 AM PDT

10 days, 47 Companies, 37 separate performances,
2 bespoke shows, 1 commission and a brand new competition…

With just one week to go and preparations in their final stages, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about the great line-up on offer at this year's Pulse Fringe Festival in Ipswich. The 2013 programme comprises a hugely diverse, bold and exciting range of work, from early stage ideas and works in progress, to some of the most in demand fully formed work around! We're confident there's something for everyone during what promises to be 10 fantastic theatre filled days.

Highlights include Mark Thomas' hugely popular show, Bravo Figaro, Ursula Martinez with her comical and uncompromising piece My Stories, Your E-mails, and critically acclaimed New Wolsey associate company, Gecko, with a work in progress of their new show, Institute. Also headlining will be Sleepdogs, with their harrowing, yet uplifting show, The Bullet And The Bass Trombone, Chris Goode and Company with The Forest & The Field, and Olivier Award Nominee
Caroline Horton's Mess.

There'll be a number of new events at this year's Festival, starting with Lucy Ellinson'sWhen I Was Old / When I Get Young, made with members of the New Wolsey audience and Daniel Bye's
The Six O'Clock News, which will see the New Wolsey Young Company working alongside guest artists to reflect on the news locally, nationally and internationally.

Finally, we're hugely excited about launching the Pulse Suitcase Prize on Friday 31stMay. The Suitcase Prize will see 10 enormously talented companies compete for a £1000 prize. To encourage theatre makers to make work that is both economically sustainable and leaves as small a carbon footprint as possible, we're imposing only one rule: they must be able to carry everything the show requires on public transport. Past Pulse performers, Ira Brand, Kindle and Figs in Wigs are amongst the fantastic line-up of artists taking part.

There are some great ticket deals on offer throughout the festival, meaning the more shows you book, the more you save! To see the full programme and find out how to buy tickets, click here: http://www.pulsefringe.com/

We've had a great time putting this programme together with the New Wolsey team. We're in residence for the whole 10 days
and we're very much looking forward to seeing you there!
