Animation students selected at BFX Competition

Posted: 24 May 2013 08:41 AM PDT

BFX is a brand new festival designed to celebrate the UK's visual effects and animation industry, inspire the next wave of talent and share the latest knowledge. This creative extravaganza will consist of a 6-week summer competition for the UK's best VFX and animation students; followed by screenings, master classes, an awards ceremony and other exciting events taking place across Bournemouth25-29 September 2013.

Congratulations go to students from BA (Hons) Animation, whose team U.U.L.A (Ultimate University of Lincoln Animation) has been selected as one of the finalists who will get to compete at the BFX Competition.  Shortlisting is done by leading animation and VFX studios in the UK.

The course initially submitted animations from two teams, but it was team U.U.L.A that was selected.  It is a great opportunity for our students as they will get to participate in a summer residential in Bournemouth, with each team supervised by leading animators and designers from industry.  Upon successful completion of the 6 week residence, they could then be offered a work placement if they are particularly good (and lucky!).
