ARC Symposium: the artist behind the city

On Friday 17 May 2013 - A day of discussion and discovery in Coventry with guests including Lee Simmons, Jacques Nimki and Peter Kennard.

Join Coventry Artspace and the artists that they've been working with over the past year with their ARC programme for an artist-led discussion about the future of art making with people in the city, a tour of spaces for art in Coventry and an after party in the city's public square at a specially commissioned bar. Artspace will also launch an art map of the city, created especially for this event.

Over the next month graduating Art students exhibit their work in their end of year shows. Below are a few that are open to the public across the West Midlands:

 

The University of Worcester

Coventry University

The University of Wolverhampton

 University of Wolverhampton, Wulfruna Street.

Staffordshire University

Birmingham City University

School of Art - Bournville, Waterhall -Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and School of Art -Margaret Street.

Hereford College of Arts

Hereford College of Arts, Folly Lane.

 

The best work of recent graduates from the West Midlands can also be seen at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and the Barber Institute of Fine Art in New Art West Midlands until Sunday 19 May.
