Mondegreen Ekphrasis: evolving art by masters students Posted: 16 May 2013 03:37 AM PDT The concepts of collaborative practice and appropriation of images and ideas were recently explored in a changing installation which grew and evolved each week. This was the process of ekphrasis: the description of one work of art through the creation of another. Mondegreen Ekphrasis, which has just concluded after a month at The Collection in Lincoln, featured the work of current MA students from the School of Art and Design, and was curated by current MA Contemporary Curatorial Practice student Ashleigh McDougall (pictured below). Work by Shahira Allen, Andrew Bracey (tutor), Lewis Gaukrodger, Amir Ghazi-Noory, Diane E. Hall, Victoria Hall, Linda Hollaway, Laura Johnson, Chutatib Promgul, Gemma Rabionet, Jessica Rawlings, Duncan Rowland, Carlos Ruiz Brussain, and Miranda Jingyan Zhang. Watch the show evolve in this video clip. Filming and editing by: Amir Ghazi-Noory Special thanks from the students go to: Lincoln School of Art & Design - University of Lincoln, The Collection Museum & Lincolnshire County Council |
