These fun and lively sessions will bring a mix of both adventure and discovery to your half term holidays. Join the characters Alexandra and Margaret to investigate some of the weird and wonderful objects they saw on display at London's Great Exhibition of 1851 (a giant world fair of culture and industry, and a pre-cursor to many of today's museums). During the workshop you'll see how a Victorian magic lantern works, create your own lantern slide and optical toy. |
