| Joining the Dots on the Jubilee Weekend Posted: 23 May 2012 03:05 PM PDT
Even if it doesn't, there's something else to look forward to that weekend – on Sunday 3rd June, it's Nottingham's turn to host the Dot-to-Dot Festival (also found in Bristol on Saturday 2nd, and Manchester on Monday 4th). Whatever your musical tastes, you're sure to find something to enjoy, and you may even catch the next big thing… after all, previous acts have included Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran and The XX. Dot-to-Dot 2012 is taking place at various venues around Nottingham and showcases up and coming bands, singers and DJs from all around the UK. Acts performing at the festival include Nottingham's very own Jake Bugg and Dog is Dead, as well as Pulled Apart by Horses, The Drums and Friends. If you fancy going along to Dot-to-Dot Nottingham, tickets cost £20 and are available here. Doors open at 1pm, and be aware, age restrictions may apply at some venues. Get news and updates on Dot-to-Dot Nottingham's Twitter. And read an interview with Jake Bugg on the Dot-to-Dot website. You can also see Jake on Jools Holland's extended show on Friday night. |
