30 May 2012 - Spoken Word at Artrix

"Through a series of visits to a local care home we have captured and documented spoken word, images and video recordings. The installation looks into the lives of residents, their memories, characters and lives once lived. Using verbatim theatre practices the recordings captured have been re-worked and fragmented to allow an insightful and sensitive view on memories that linger and hold still.

This performance has been made to complete my Masters Degree in Contemporary Arts through Manchester Metropolitan University and will be performed by my current BTEC Extended Diploma Performing Arts students at NEW College."

NB - The performance installation lasts 2 hours; in that time audience members are invited to walk around, sit, comment and peruse the documentation of the creative processes undergone.
