Conditions of the Art Institution - Panel Discussion, LGP Coventry, 30 November 4-7pm

Posted: 28 Nov 2012 01:24 AM PST

Panel includes: Will Bradley, Suhail Malik and Nina Möntmann.

This Friday (30 November) at Lanchester Gallery Projects in Coventry presentations and a panel discussion will take place about the prevailing ideological conditions which bound the art institution. The speakers will discuss strategies and complicity within these complex politico-economic and socio-cultural systems. Guest speakers include Will Bradley, Suhail Malik and Nina Möntmann. The event is from 4-7pm.

After, from 8-10pm, band WE will stage a performance that questions the individualism of the Western pop song. WE reveal the latent politics of the love song and transform chart hits by annihilating their liberal subject and replacing it with a collective consciousness.

Free Entry. Please RSVP to LGP@coventry.ac.uk if you wish to attend.
