STATUS: 1 DAY PER FORTNIGHT £17.50 PER HOUR The Basement, Brighton, BN1 4AJ Website: www.thebasement.uk.com The Basement is seeking an experienced senior bookkeeper with some knowledge of working in the charity or arts sector. We are seeking an efficient, organised and rigorous bookkeeper to ensure the smooth financial management of a small arts organisation. They will be required to: • Management of all of The Basement's finance activity using the software - SAGE. • Management of financial aspects of The Basement's administrator's role. The administrator will be responsible for the day to day financial administration • Manage all financial reports, records and archives in digital form and hard copy as appropriate. • Payment of invoices • Process monthly of PAYE/NIC returns • Provide monthly profit and loss accounts, reconciled reports from petty cash and bank activity to the Artistic Director • Support the Director of Development in updating cash flow documents • Produce quarterly management accounts and cash flows for quarterly board meeting and present your findings if required. • VAT returns (quarterly) • Provide all necessary information to The Basement's accountants for production of annual accounts • File Annual return to companies house • Support the Artistic Director and Director of Development with the yearly and 2/3 year budgets • Report & file appropriate information and company changes to Companies House and the Charities Commission where appropriate To apply, please send your C.V. to info@thebasement.uk.com by Thursday 6th December 2012 by 6pm.
