Posted: 19 Jun 2012 05:29 AM PDT The yellow squares on the front of MK Gallery have been painted out as we install an eye-catching new façade for our latest exhibition, Pushwagner: Soft City, at MK Gallery from 28 June - 2 September 2012. The exhibition will focus on the early works of visionary Norwegian artist Hariton Pushwagner, and will include his defining creation, the graphic novel Soft City, an epic satire of capitalism and life in the modern metropolis. Other works include intricate and obsessively detailed paintings and visually stunning silkscreen prints, presenting a personal mythology of a world under perpetual siege from pollution, totalitarianism and mass destruction. You can see the finished exterior design at the Exhibition Opening and Summer Party on Wednesday 27 June, from 6-10pm, with free barbecue, live music and DJs. |
