Posted: 28 Jun 2012 03:16 AM PDT Visited here, at Salford Quays. Very strange building, rather oddly set out. The interior is broken up, with continuity around the museum with modules dedicated to different subjects. Very interesting, but I would have liked to have seen more items such as the tanks and guns. The Harrier jet is really great, but hung in such a way that it is difficult to get a good look at it. I can't help feeling that the designers have gone more for a "clever" layout rather than for the satisfaction of the museum visitors, but it's definitely worth a visit. There's an excellent cafe. This was a window frame from the World Trade Centre, recovered after the 9/11 attack |
