Posted: 13 Jun 2012 08:15 AM PDT Overview This project is part of Young Heritage Hunters which is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund for Milton Keynes Heritage Association. This twelve-month project's purpose is to get children, young people and local communities involved in their local history. As part of the project there are a series of creative sub projects with schools, youth groups and local communities. Project As part of Young Heritage Hunters there will be a sub project with a school. The project requires a film maker to spend the day at the school filming locations around the school and deliver a film making workshop with a group of Year 4 and 5 students . As part of the project you will be required to edit a short film which will be shown on you-tube as part the Young Heritage Hunters exhibition at Destination MK (Central Library) in September. Applicants must have a current CRB check. The school is closing and the film will record the memories and impressions of the students at the school. Time scale Opportunity Advertised: Wednesday 13 June 2012 Deadline: Wednesday 27 June 2012 Filming: Wednesday 11 July 2012 and 18 July 2012 13.15-15.30 Final film complete: 18 August 2012 Roles and responsibilities As film maker your role is to work with the Learning Co-ordinator to devise and deliver workshops which will involve the students in filming the school and their memories. The Learning Co-ordinator is responsible for liaising with the school and planning the project. Please apply by emailing a CV , covering letter and two references. Please include an itemised costing for the project. Suppliers will be chosen according to value for money; as well as suitable track record. |

InterAction call for art submissions - £500 prize Posted: 13 Jun 2012 01:46 AM PDT 2012 Exhibition Submission - £500 prize 6th August – 9th September Due to the number and quality of current submissions InterAction has extended the deadline and changed the dates of their summer exhibition to allow more people to be involved. Inter-Action MK (IAMK) brings arts into the heart of disadvantaged and disabled communities through a varied and diverse activity program. The summer exhibition aims to support emerging artists by showcasing new and innovative work, and to introduce new audiences to all forms of visual arts by facilitating open and accessible art events. IAMK offers a unique setting in the heart of Milton Keynes; to offer a real variety of artistic opportunity the exhibition can be displayed both in open air settings as well as in indoor spaces (see attached photos for examples of possible spaces). We are looking for artwork in all formats and disciplines, including 3 dimensional, digital instillation, photography, time-based and sound-based work. |
