| Small Encounters: Producer/Tour Booker Opportunity Posted: 12 Oct 2012 01:46 AM PDT Small Encounters is a collective dedicated to the exploration, creation and presentation of intimate and one-to-one performance work. We are now looking to work with a producer/tour booker to develop funding bids and marketing strategies, with a view to touring in Summer 2013 and beyond, in the UK and internationally. After a successful initial Arts Council bid to fund a Research & Development period (facilitated by Adrian Howells), we are now planning to approach appropriate funding bodies to support a final creation and touring phase. This will also include the construction of bespoke, tent-like environments, and cover associated producer/tour booking costs. We would like to hear from individuals or companies who have: · a good knowledge of the outdoor theatre/festival/live art sector · a knowledge and enthusiasm for intimate/one-to-one performance · experience in writing funding applications · an interest in building a long-term relationship with Small Encounters Shortlisted candidates must be available for interview on either 1st or 2nd November 2012, with a view to start work w/c 5th November 2012. Small Encounters is Birmingham-based so applicants must be either based in the West Midlands or be happy to travel here for meetings. Hours are flexible. Please note that payment is funding dependent, and we will work alongside the producer to secure this. Please apply with a current CV and up to 750 words detailing: · your experience as a producer and tour booker · a brief selling strategy appropriate for one-to-one performance work · your knowledge of the outdoor/festival/live art sectors · your experience (and any successes!) in applying for funding Images and more information of our work can be found at: http://www.smallencounters.co.uk/ or: https://www.facebook.com/SmallEncounters Deadline: Midnight Friday 19th October 2012 Submissions and enquiries should be made to Lucy at lucy@lucy-nicholls.co.uk. |
