Changes to the Building Regulations 2013 at Ludlow Mascall Centre

As part of its commitment to reducing the burden of regulation, the government will be introducing a further set of changes to the Building Regulations in 2013.We know there will be changes to Part L, with a further 25% reduction in emission levels for dwellings as well as changes to ensure 'as-built' performance more closely matches the design performance, but the government is looking at revisions to Parts A, C, D, E, K, L, M and N, as well as examining the effectiveness of Part P (Electrical safety). The government is also looking at how the building control system operates.This seminar will outline the most significant changes of the regulations and evaluate their impact on design and on the current compliance process. Andrew Crooks, jhai limited is Director of Learning and is responsible for all technical activities throughout England and Wales.Andrew joined jhai Ltd in 2007 after 18 years working in local authority Building control. Andrew is a chartered surveyor and fire engineer and holds a Masters degree in Management Studies. He is an APC Assessor for the Building Control faculty of the RICS. He has particular experience within the historic environment having worked in the City of Bath for seven years.
