New Podcast: James Welling talks about his exhibition at MK Gallery Posted: 19 Oct 2012 11:58 AM PDT New Podcast Artist James Welling talks about his current exhibition at MK Gallery Last week artist James Welling visited Milton Keynes to discuss his work and exhibition with MK Gallery Director, Anthony Spira You can now hear an audio podcast from that event. American artist James Welling emerged in the 1980s as part of the 'Pictures Generation', a group of New York artists famous for their pioneering use of photography. His exhibition at MK Gallery brings together a hundred and fifty of his early, experimental and abstract works from this period. Welling's work is held in major museum collections worldwide and he currently heads the photography area of the Art Department of UCLA, in California. |
