Milton Keynes, salary up to £34,000 per annum


An experienced professional with an excellent track record of building audiences, places, programmes and teams is required to lead artworks-MK through its next chapter of major capital development and business sustainability.


Acting as a powerful advocate for the organisation and working closely with the Board and major stakeholders, the successful candidate will lead a team of creative and support staff and freelance artists to deliver an inspiring portfolio including craft and art projects, learning opportunities and specialist facilities.  A critical early task will be the development and implementation of a robust business model which will deliver financial stability and offer significant opportunities for future growth.

TITLE: Heritage Craft Learning Co-ordinator


artworks-mk are seeking a suitably experienced heritage craft learning co-ordinator to support a new and exciting project in and aroundMilton Keynes.


Following a successful funding application from Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver a new heritage craft project “Reclaim” artworks-mk an independent arts and education charity based in Milton Keynes are seeking to recruit a part time Heritage Craft Learning Co-coordinator for 16 hours a week fixed term for 15 months until June 2013, Salary pro rate £23,000pa ( £10,858pa)


The post will be responsible to the Executive Director of artworks-mk for the co-ordination and implementation of heritage learning activities as part of the Reclaim project.


  • To develop a high quality, innovative and accessible programme of heritage learning activities.

  • To implement the programme and other agreed activities through management of workshop providers, volunteers, resources and administrative system.

  • To support heritage craft research activities

  • To co-ordinate heritage craft events

  • To monitor, record and evaluate heritage craft activities as part of the reclaim project.
