| Stafford - The Military Cemetery Posted: 01 Nov 2011 12:50 PM PDT In a corner of the Eccleshall Road Cemetery are over 50 military war graves - 32 of them are German. Going by the dates of the deaths they must have been POWs. Unusually, the monument features no words at all. Perhaps because it's representing both British and German war dead? * There are three gaps in the rows of German dead, perhaps because the remains of those three were later returned to Germany.             |
