Derby, Nottingham Road Cemetery Posted: 28 Oct 2011 12:46 AM PDT Private Frank Legge Poynton, Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Fell in action, October 30th 1914, aged 27 years. And Gunner William (Dick) Poynton, Notts and Derbys Regiment. Killed in action, March 21st 1918, aged 25 years. Lance Corporal Victor Harrison, 1/5 Notts & Derby Regiment. Missing after a battle on the Somme, France, 1st July 1916, aged 22 years. 3654 Private A.W. Higgs, 1/6 Seaforth Highlanders. Killed in action in France, August 31st 1916, aged 19 years. Interred in Cite-Bon Cemetery, Armentieres. Private Lionel York, 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters. Died of wounds in France, September 21st 1917, aged 21 years. Sidney H. Bennett. Died of wounds received in action on the Somme, July 12th 1916, aged 21 years. Interred at Mericourt L'Abbe, France. |
