| Get nimble with your needles for AGE UK's Big Knit 2012! Posted: 16 Aug 2012 03:29 AM PDT  Get nimble with your needles! Age UK and innocent launch The Big Knit 2012 Age UK Milton Keynes is calling on nimble-fingered knitters across the borough to help create 3000 little woolly hats for Age UK and innocent's Big Knit 2012. The Big Knit raises vital funds locally to help older people over the winter and Age UK Milton Keynes needs you to help make this a reality. The mini hats will adorn innocent smoothie bottles in Sainsbury's stores from 21st November. For each be-hatted smoothie sold, innocent will give 25p to Age UK's Spread the Warmth campaign, helping to fund winter related information, advice and services. Knitters can contact the Age UK Milton Keynes fundraising team on 01908 557891 to get a free knitting pattern or go to www.ageukmiltonkeynes.org.uk to download big knit patterns. The little woolly hats can be dropped off at any Age UK Milton Keynes charity shop or sent to: The Peartree Centre, 1 Chadds Lane, Peartree Bridge, Milton Keynes MK6 3EB by Monday 24th September. |
