Admire architectural history? Passionate about your built heritage? Then join us for a celebration of one of the country's most diverse and renowned architectural landscapes. The city of Birmingham is home to a range of landmark buildings, from the Georgian majesty of St Phillips Cathedral and the red brick Victorian grandeur of the Victoria Law Courts, through to the contemporary style of the Bullring. Wienerberger, the world's biggest brick manufacturer, will be exploring all this and more with a fun and informative open top bus tour. Your expert guide will be Alan Griffiths, an architectural historian and former partner of the Harry Bloomer Partnership, who will talk us through some of the gems in Birmingham's architectural portfolio, uncovering the heritage and importance of these structures in the city's long and illustrious history. The tour will begin at the corner of Colmore Row and Waterloo Street Victoria Square at 4pm on Wednesday 5th September 2012. Drinks and light refreshments will follow at BANK in Brindley Place.
