This tour for visitors with visual impairment, is led by artist Emma Wilde, a regular and experienced audio describer.

Emma will describe a selection of works in the current exhibition by American artist James Welling.  Welling emerged in the 1980s as part of the 'Pictures Generation', a group of New York artists famous for their pioneering use of photography. Sub-titled 'The Mind on Fire', the exhibition brings together 150 of Welling's early, experimental and abstract works from this period.

The tour will last about an hour, and will be friendly and informal; you don't need any specialist knowledge of art.  At the end there is time to ask questions while enjoying free tea and biscuits.
