Teachers' Preview:  Mark Leckey: The Universal Addressability of Dumb Things

Wed 8 May, 5pm – 7pm

Discover our exhibitions and how we work with schools while enjoying a well deserved glass of wine at one of our Teachers' Previews.

We will focus on Early Years, KS1, KS2 and students with Special Needs.

Turner Prize Winner, Mark Leckey, curates this exciting major exhibition that will present a variety of  works from leading  artists alongside traditional museum objects in the very different setting of  a contemporary art gallery: "The status of objects is changing," argues Leckey, "and we are once again in thrall to an enchanted world full of transformations and correspondences, a wonderful instability between things animate and inanimate, animal and human, mental and material".

Hosted by our Associate Artists the event will give you the opportunity to explore different ways of using the exhibition with your students. Learning themes include: Technology, Science, Literacy (narrative, speaking and listening) Art History and Installation.

For more information see www.nottinghamcontemporary.org/schools, email learn@nottinghamcontemporary.org, or call us on 0115 948 9750.

We look forward to welcoming you.
