Justin Bieber is top of the Tweets!

Posted: 09 Dec 2011 07:36 AM PST

First year Interactive Design student Jordan Burnett currently has an interactive installation in the front window of Thomas Parker House on Freeschool Lane, Lincoln.

Tweet Lamps uses an usb driven piece of hardware called a phidget which is tracking six twitter feeds, showing them in the window as single light bulbs. The twitter feeds cover a broad range of current affairs and stories such as news items, debt, David Cameron, poverty, Justin Bieber, and even its own tweet. Each time any of the subjects are tweeted, the light bulb flashes. The irony is that the Bieber lamp is flashing like a strobe!

The installation will be showing at Thomas Parker House until the New Year, after which it will be shown at next year's Kinetica Art Fair in London 9-12 February 2012.
