| In Vitro Gallery's 1st Birthday and Magazine Launch Posted: 08 Dec 2011 02:47 AM PST  Local art gallery In Vitro is celebrating its first birthday this month, and also hosting the launch of free independent local fanzine Immanence, produced by the record label Dear, Records. This free event takes place on Saturday December 17th, from 1pm until 4pm at the gallery, which is situated inside The Mall shopping centre on Lincoln's High Street, and features acoustic sets by musicians Joe Summers, Harry Johns, and Zeff. The Immanence 'zine is primarily a music magazine but also extends itself out to the philosophical, poetic, visual and literary world. In the past year, In Vitro has held 12 exhibitions featuring local and international artists, as well as other events and art competitions. "It's been a great first year, thanks to everyone who has supported the gallery during this time." – Gallery owner and Lincoln Alumna Laura Whitehead. Dear, Records was co-created by Goldsmiths' graduates Bertie Telezynski and Charlie Johns. Their objectives; to encourage, promote, distribute and publish local emerging musical talent with an inclination towards more obscure and artistically honest modes of practice.
