A short statement is available on their website Michael Stanley was Director of MK Gallery from 2004 – 2009. Paying tribute, MK Gallery's current Director, Anthony Spira, said: "Mike was incredibly talented and in his five years in Milton Keynes he developed a rich and adventurous artistic programme. He forged exciting connections, from the local to the international, and was an ambassador for the city. He was extremely popular and will be missed enormously. Our thoughts and feelings go out to his family, friends and colleagues."
