FUTURE POSITIVE: A TPWM Professional Development Event for Visual Artists

26 MAY 2011 - 1 - 5PM (DRINKS FROM 5PM)
SCHOOL OF ART, BIRMINGHAM CITY UNIVERSITY, MARGARET STREET, B3 3BX

Print by Niall R Singh. Photograph by Amy L Wallis.

WHAT ARE THE ROUTES FOR VISUAL ARTISTS IN THE WEST MIDLANDS TO DEVELOP THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND CREATIVE PRACTICE?

  • Find out what is available regionally and nationally to support your professional development: both your practice and your business.
  • Discuss opportunities for national collaboration through a-n and Artquest’s new programme A+
  • Comment on what is not currently available and what would be useful to have.

  • Feedback on the TPWM Action Plan
TPWM is part of a large national network. We are supported by Arts Council England to develop a Plan for the Visual Arts for the West Midlands. We will update you on the Plan and ask for your feedback.
This is the second in a series of TPWM public events and builds on the feedback from the TPWM `Voice Your Vision' 2010 event at The New Art Gallery in Walsall.
A TPWM brochure will be published soon with a commissioned essay highlighting the strengths of the visual arts in the West Midlands and will set out the priority actions for how we, as a regional and national network, go forward.
