FILM: 21ST CENTURY LITERACY and SCREEN WM present Using Film in Education
A seminar for professionals working with young people in schools and communities demonstrating how film can radically improve how you engage with young people and impact on their learning. The seminar provides an essential opportunity for professionals working across the West Midlands to hear about the latest initiatives and resources in film education, and share best practice.
A selection of National and Regional speakers will include:
Leigh Thomas (CEO, First Light Movies)
Suzie Norton (CEO, Screen West Midlands)
Tom Barrance (Director, Media Education Wales)
Sue Gainsborough (Director, Wem Town Hall)
And others who have experienced success in using film in schools.
There will also be a networking session over lunch, with several local organisations attending.

Teachers, Heads of Departments and others from education institutions
Child Services Professionals in Local Authorities
Youth Group Leaders
Literacy Advisors and Coordinators in Local Authorities
Any Professional keen to explore using film to engage young people
