Mosaics with Melanie Watts

Saturday 13 July / 1 - 3pm / 4+ year olds and their families

Designs from Year Three pupils at St. Thomas Aquinas School were used as inspiration for a celebratory mosaic artwork created by Teaching Assistant Margaret which now hangs in their school foyer.  Inspired by this beautiful work today's Mini Makers offers you an insight into the making of the piece and shares the skills and knowledge for trying your hand at mosaic making.

Today's session will be led by Melanie Watts, a Buckinghamshire based mosaic artist who, in her own work, produces both 2d and 3d mosaic art including wall hangings, flooring, sculptural and public art pieces.  Melanie has created numerous collaborative mosaic works with both schools and community groups.
