| Stony Art Grp: artists required for public art project Posted: 05 Sep 2012 03:59 AM PDT  The Stony Stratford Art Group in partnership with Stony Stratford Town Council are wishing to receive expressions of interest from artists living or working in Milton Keynes or the surrounding area for a public art project to the value of circa £20,000. The aspiration for the public art is that it will celebrate the heritage and history of the area, specifically the ingenuity and vigour of Edward Hayes and the associated Boatyard which was once in the town. The boatyard area has now been redeveloped with housing and an area of open space. From the submissions received the project group will invite a shortlist of up to 3 artists to develop a design concept for which a fee will be paid.
